Friends of Ravenswood School (FORS) is a non-profit group of interested parents and community members joining with school administrators, staff and teachers to gather private supplemental support – in the form of funding, volunteers and various professional expertise – for the benefit of Ravenswood School, its programs and all of its students. The funds we raise help the school pay for teachers, programs, field trips, supplies and other essentials that make Ravenswood great.
FORS monthly meetings are typically held the third week of the month and two meeting times are offered in the hopes of accommodating a wide range of schedules. FORS meetings cover a broad range of topics involving planning FORS events, coordinating volunteer work, sharing new ideas to benefit the school, and meeting new people. All parents, teachers, staff, and community members are welcome to attend.
Tuesday morning meetings are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the multi-purpose room of Ravenswood School.
Thursday evening meetings are 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the location varies.
Please check the Ravenswood calendar to determine exact dates, times and locations.
FORS helps Ravenswood School in a variety of ways:
- Builds and strengthens the Ravenswood community
- Markets the school and recruits new families
- Secures supplemental funding and community resources on behalf of the school
- Supports and help grow in-school events
- Identifies and communicates volunteer opportunities

Ravenswood’s “Green Not Gray” Playground is a reality!
