The Ravenswood Local School Council (LSC) is the elected decision-making body for Ravenswood School. The LSC is comprised of the school principal, 6 parent representatives, 2 teacher representatives, 2 community representatives, and 1 para-professional representative.
By law, the LSC plays a role in decision-making at the local school level. The primary responsibilities of the LSC include approving how school funds and resources are allocated, approving and monitoring the implementation of the annual school improvement plan, and hiring and evaluating the school’s contract principal.
All community members are welcome to attend the Local School Council meetings, which are held on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 PM in the multi-purpose room of Ravenswood School. There is time for public comment on every meeting agenda. To contact the Local School Council, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or come to a meeting. Here are the agendas and minutes for the LSC meetings.
