The eighth-graders are heading to Washington, D.C., for their class trip this week!
The D.C. trip will show our students how people from different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs are all part of the United States. The students will visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Smithsonian Museums, the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and the National Mall and Memorials. It’s a culmination of our students’ history, art, social studies, and language arts classes.
For many of our eighth-graders, this will be their first trip outside of Chicago. The students and their families have worked hard all year to raise funds for this trip. Many thanks to all who helped make this trip a reality.
