April 23 through April 29 is National Every Kid Healthy Week
The Wellness Committee will be celebrating National Every Kids Healthy Week from April 23rd -28th.
Each day Coach Ramos will make an all school announcement sharing information around one area of focus.
Monday – Mindful Monday (the positive benefits of meditation for children Prek-8)
Tuesday – Turn off your TV Tuesday (the positive benefits of giving the screens a break and engaging in other activities as a family)
Wednesday – My Plate and the importance of incorporating all food groups and recognizing portion size
Thursday – Fitness Fun (benefits of exercise and movement)
Friday – Sleep, sleep, sleep (benefits of a good night’s rest)
Wednesday 4/26 - Chef Tony from EatPakd will encourage students to say “More Greens, Please” by demonstrating simple recipes incorporating peas during this 30 minute demonstration.
